Executive Summary

In August 2020, I will graduate from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences. My studies at the University have focused on advertising and public relations, but my work experience has focused on multimedia storytelling: video and podcast editing, writing and social media management. 

I intend to use my cross-platform storytelling experience to connect messages to audiences - on whichever platform fits them best. As a journalism major, I have gained strong written and communication skills, time management skills and a knack for storytelling. As a video and podcast editor, I have learned how to adapt those stories for the eye and ear. And as a social media manager and content creator, I have learned how to reach and meet audiences where they are.

In less than three years on campus, I have earned several leadership positions and an array of work experience. As secretary of Advertising Club, I handled the club’s semester reportand created an Advertising Club newsletter for 40+ members. As vice president of Advertising Club, I handle email coordinating for guest speakers and give bimonthly presentations to members. As a Campus Brand Ambassador for Warner Brothers’ #DiscoverHogwarts campaign, I covered a brand event and created content that amassed over 5.5 million potential impressions.  

Last summer, I finished a video production internship in Dublin, Ireland. There, I learned the ins and outs of how a production agency functions, as well as how to create storyboards and edit videos using Premiere Pro. I further honed my editing skills in a videography and editing class, where I completed video projects to meet class objectives.

I currently work as both a video and podcast editor Intern for Art Feeds Nonprofit and as a Career Ambassador for the Career Development Center. For Art Feeds, I create video content for their Instagram channel #ArtFeedsMakes and edit podcast episodes for the podcast channel #ArtFeedsSays. As a Career Ambassador, I create graphics, manage the center’s social media pages, and give presentations to classes of 100+ students. 

In addition to my professional experience as a content creator, I also have personal experience in creative writing, blog writing and travel photography.  

I am a multimedia storyteller. I am a writer, a video and podcast editor, a social media manager and a photographer.
